Phenomenal Women of Color

Read. Understand. Be. Phenomenal.

Who is PWOC?

PWOC, Phenomenal Women of Color, is a book club based in Memphis, TN for women of color who enjoy reading works by African American authors.  We read all genres of literature from Romantic to Religious, Fiction to Self-Help.  We are a group of women who are about enlightenment and empowerment.

PWOC was founded July 2006 by Nickie J. Rosier.  Nickie has always loved to read and wanted to incorporate her love for reading with her desire to be able to spend more time with her friends.  This is when she contacted her good friend Rolanda B. Eatmon with the suggestion of starting a book club.  Rolanda was happy to not only join but provide useful suggestions to help PWOC grow.  Together Nickie (President) and Rolanda (Vice President) are excited about the future for PWOC book club.
